So remember like a month ago when I announced that SecularVoices was moving to FreethoughtBlogs? Well, I hope you didn’t get too comfortable there, because as of today, SecularVoices has joined the Patheos network! And I just published our first post, so be sure to check that out.
Truth be told, I’ve been trying to get picked up by Patheos for quite a while now, and in July the stars aligned, so we’re moving… this time I think for good. The SecularVoices staff will be coming along with me to the new site, so don’t fret. All your favorite secular up-and-comers will still be posting for SecularVoices, including a list of new writers coming soon!
The blog at FtB will be discontinued, so feel free to delete those bookmarks. Right now, Patheos is working on migrating all of the archived posts over from SecularVoices.org to the new site. You should see those soon. They will also attempt to migrate our email and WP subscribers, but I’m not sure if that’s going to work, so please be sure to subscribe on Patheos (as soon as the subscribe function is up) to continue to receive notifications when we post a new story.
The best news of all is that you can expect much more frequent content now that we’re on Patheos. I plan to post daily, more likely multiple times daily, and the writing staff will certainly contribute frequently as well.
The blog at Patheos will hopefully serve as a springboard to further my activism through SecularVoices and Young Skeptics. In the spirit of this, I’ve launched a Patreon page. Please check it out and if so inclined, become a SecularVoices supporter and grab some cool SV swag.
I owe our subscribers a debt of gratitude. Without your support and consistent traffic to our site, we wouldn’t have made it this far, and we wouldn’t have been picked up by the most popular religion-themed site in the US! So my sincere thanks to you, and here’s to bigger and better things in the future!
