Donald Trump Just Alluded to Killing Hillary Clinton [VIDEO]

You’re going to see replays of this for weeks.

Speaking at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina:

Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish the 2nd Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick — if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the 2nd Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But — but I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.

That’s not even cryptic.  Maybe it’s just the anti-Trump liberal in me, but that seems like a direct suggestion to Trump’s “2nd Amendment people.”  This is getting out of hand.

  1. It does not come across as a death threat to me. It seems more like a recognition that “2nd amendment people” are loose canons. It is a valid point. Trump wants to be on the positive side of the gun nuts.

    1. Not exactly a death threat, but it does seem to me an act of stochastic terrorism.

If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it’s essentially encouraging predictable violence by random and unknown actors. The upshot is that it’s specific enough that some 2nd amendment nutjob will probably act on it, but vague enough that Trump can plausibly claim he didn’t ask anyone to act violently.

      1. As a collector of sesquipedalianism and other works of flagrant verbosity I wish to take the time to recognize your contribution to the lexicon of erudition by relaying to you :

But seriously, though, that is a cool term and I look forward to using it!

    2. I heard a slightly different version, which said something like “maybe the Second Amendment people, maybe there’s something they can do.” Which seems a little bit more like a death threat, or incitement to violence.

    3. You’re either woefully uninformed or purposely obtuse.

The right has been waving around ‘2nd Amendment Solution’ to mean shooting enemies at least since Sharron Angle, and Sarah Palin and her bullseye list…which had GABBY GIFFORDS on the targets list.

This dogwhistle isn’t useful any more, as the rest of us have caught on to the shibboleth.

    4. I’d call it a “nod, nod, wink, wink” to potential assassins. Trump is very good at telegraphing encouragement to the more vile among us.

  2. I’m pretty sure if a joe blow mechanic like myself got up on a stage and said something like that, I would be getting a visit from the secret service in quick order.
How can these republican senators and representatives keep endorsing this person for “the sake of the party”?

    1. “Some pigs are more equal than others”, which is part of the problem.

Rich folk don’t have rule of law applied to them.

  3. Yes, they can vote. Hillary is so finished. And people know it. Which is why they have to make up scary lies like this.

    1. Yes, because exact quotes and videos are lies. Totally.

I was going to make this whole thing about sarcastically asking how stupid you were, but we both know the answer, and I know it would just go over your head.

      1. Don’t blame me because you are biased and misinterpreted words. But I understand. Clinton and supporters deep down know they are finished, they desperately must cling to anything and everything. Truth be damned.

        1. Then turn it around, Frank: If Hillary had said anything like this about Trump, how would you be responding?

    2. Go to the videotape, Frank.

We believe our ‘lying eyes (& ears)’ over you any day of the week & twice on Sundays.

  4. ” Although the 2nd Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But — but I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”

And that last part shows that Trump is lying his ass off as usual when he claims he was just calling for solidarity with gun owners.

  5. This may well replace all those older examples of where a comma changes the meaning of a sentence. I find it curious that the media has *chosen* to not put a comma before, “people” as it would more closely fit Trumps speaking style – but also come off as a clear instruction as to what to do about Clinton.
