This is something I’ve been kicking around for over a year now, since before DividedUnderGod became SecularVoices, brought on guest writers, signed on with Freethoughtblogs, then moved to Patheos. Yeah, last year was crazy. But in a good way, not a “the country elected a fuhrer” way.
So I’m moving forward with the podcast, after deliberating over format/segment ideas, deciding what types of guests to have on, and working out all of the logistics involved. Now my office (also Young Skeptics headquarters) has been partially transformed into a podcast studio, and the first episode will be recorded very soon.
The SecularVoices Podcast will be a 30-45 minute weekly recorded broadcast that will feature updates on current events that affect the secular community and movement — much in line with the topics I blog about. There will also be an “Activist Spotlight” segment, where I’ll talk to — or about — a secular activist doing great work and highlight his/her achievements. So if you have any recommendations, please send me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org or get in touch with me on Twitter or Facebook.
Also, if you’d like to get advance access to the podcast, as well as the supreme power to choose guests (or be on the Activist Spotlight yourself), get other perks like t-shirts and window decals, or just support a fellow activist, please hop over to the SecularVoices patreon page and choose your level of support.
Stay tuned for updates, and thanks for your continued support!
